Happy Halloween!

Halloween Friday Steven and I attended the Global Mission Readiness "Masquerade Mayhem". Our friend Don Davis III is the CEO/Founder of this great non-profit group who does training around the world for communities who don't have the advanced emergency rescue, fire suppression and medical response that we take for granted here in the States. The fundraiser was a WONDERFUL event and if you're interested in the non-profit, check out their website at http://www.globalmissionreadiness.org/ Steven had this crazy idea last year that he wanted to be a soy sauce bottle for Halloween...?!?! So, with the sewing genius of Mom Gold... he got to be a soy sauce bottle! I finished his label and hat this week. Mom also made my tuna roll dress. Abi spent her first evening home with a babysitter (thanks Brenda!) and did great (her Mom struggled). We'll enjoy Halloween watching the Duck game at our friend Robb's. I'm not sure if Abi will go trick-or-treating with Syd and Skylar but we'll get to hand out candy regardless! Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!

A Major Milestone!

Our life as a family is quite consumed with loving Abigail and caring for her. Nonetheless, someone else in the family had a major milestone today! Steven turned 30!! Happy Birthday to the love of my life! We enjoyed breakfast out and are going to one of Steven's favorite restaurants for dinner as well. We'll celebrate with friends this weekend. Here's the photo of Abi telling her Daddy Happy Birthday this afternoon. :)

Abigail's had milestones as well. She got her first real bath (right) and had a 3 hour nap with Daddy while Grandma and I enjoyed a walk before the blustery weather set in and before Grandma went back to MN.

Strong little girl!

Abi definitely started tracking voices and will occasionally smile intentionally with some coaxing. As well, she's doing great with neck strength and spent quite a bit of time last night making faces for Gramma while holding her head up.

Some firsts...

First bath...
First book...
Far from the first sleepy time smile...Gramma Gold arrived earlier this week so has been helping out with night time feedings (thank God for breast pumps!), household stuff and just the adjustment of having an infant in the house. Steven had his first full shift back on duty, so Abi made her second trip to the station to visit Daddy as well as spent the day running errands and shopping with Mommy and Gramma. We're already huge fans of our awesome Bob stroller! And of course she gets a visit and snuggles with Granny, Papa and Stephie whenever they're in town.
